Polynucleated Museum, created in 2002, has 5 nuclei: one in the parish of Ervidel, the Rural Nucleus, and four in Aljustrel: the Nucleus of Moinho do Marralhas; the Algares Compressor Center; the Archaeological Museum Nucleus, which aims to show the evolution of human occupation in the municipality, with an emphasis on mining exploration; and more recently, the Typographer's Museum.

Museum / Interpretation Center History:
Aljustrel has a remarkable archaeological heritage, result of nearly a century of research carried out in several archaeological sites in the county. Aware of this reality the Municipality of Aljustrel opened in May 2002 the main gallery of the Municipal Museum of Aljustrel, dedicated to the archeology and history of the county, after the opening in 2001 of the  Ervidel Rural Gallery dedicated to ethnography.

SITES OF TOURISTIC INTEREST
Chapel of Our Lady of the Castle

Classified as a cultural heritage building, this chapel must have been built in the XIV century. It comprises a gallery with porch, chancel, sacristy and the former pilgrims’ house. The porch is in barrel vault, gallery with cross vault on corbels joined by round arches. The walls are coated with XVII century cob type tiles.

Church of Sao Salvador - Aljustrel Church

Dom Fernão de Mascarenhas, Pryor of the Military Order of Santiago da Espada, ordered their construction in late XV century, and that's hy on the front dooray is a sord, the symbol of the Military Order. It has a single nave, supported by three brick arches. The vault is considered to be the largest in Alentejo, and is set on thick stone alls.
