The Caves of Coin Scientific and environmental interpretation Centre (CICA gm) is characterized by being an informative, didactic and scientific space. It is a place where students, tourists and public in general can find answers to the multiple questions regarding the general Earth Sciences, with access to equipments and exhibitions that help to provide explanations for the geologic and environmental phenomena of the "Estremadura Limestone Massif". With a dimension of 180 m2, the CICA gm has two different rooms, both of them aiming for environment awareness. On a first room, the visitors can obtain information about the limestone and its applications for the glass Industry, food industry, cosmetics and pharmacy, for agriculture and construction, among others; At the CICA gm we can still observe the art of carving the limestone, industrial work or handmade work; we can also see at the CICA gm an interpretative exhibition that allows the interpretation of fossils from all over the world, this allows visitors to get a better knowledge about the evolution of the planet earth.

At the Centre we have a power point presentation about the history of this Limestone Massif that allows to understand the formation of the limestone and the formation of caves throughout the dissolution of this rock.

This restored village is also home to the first SENSORY ECO-PARK for the visually impaired in Portugal. A novel concept, which aims to offer these citizens the possibility of apprehending their surroundings making use of the other senses, in particular touch and smell.
