A well-marked and easily recognisable land feature which pertains to the Serra da Freita landscape, which is similar to the cow´s rump. It is a lookout point of high geomorphological relevance with privileged views of the Moldes Valley, and particularly of the towns of Espinho, Chão de Espinho, Bustelo, Adaúfe, Espinheiro and Fuste. It is comprised of a ridge marked by a large cliff of Ante-Ordovician metasediments, at the contact point with the Arouca quartz diorite and which is bounded to the East by the Roças stream and to the West by the Moldes stream. The metamorphic aureole of the contact point is well marked through the presence of numerous large andaluzite crystals thus resulting in high mineralogical and petrologic interest in relation to this site.
