The Foz do Douro Geological Trail Interpretive Centre opened on November 27, 2008 and provides a space for the realisation of activities to supplement field trips to the outdoor trail.

Exceptions:

Occaisionally there are weekend visits. Guided tours are temporarily suspended due to the restructuring of the Interpretation Centre.

Guided tours to the Foz do Douro Geological Park are free of charge and require advance reservations. These tours are intended for organized visits of groups between 10 and 20 people, and for schools. Guided tours are temporarily suspended due to the restructuring of the Interpretation Centre operations.

Observations:
The tour guides have scientific-pedagogical qualification and are capable of adapting to the different school levels of the students. Teachers receive a free book guide explaining the geological points of interest.
