The Educational Service Lousal Ciência Viva Centre aims to boost the relationship of the educational community in the context of science and technology education.
Target Audience:
The Lousal Ciência Viva educational service offers guided tours to the Centre, the Mining Museum, the open pit and the Waldemar Gallery (an underground gallery), especially aimed to school groups (elementary, high school and college) with a playful, rigorous and pedagogical speech. We intend to provide students, teachers and educators appropriate tools for the study of different areas of knowledge, with particular focus on the natural sciences. Visits in: Portuguese, Spanish and English.

The Pyrite Route is a thematic route of mining and geological tourism dedicated to the Iberian Pyrite Belt, considered one of the main mining regions of Europe, with more than 90 known massive sulphide deposits, distributed throughout the regions of Alentejo and Andalusia. In addition to the pyrite mines occur in the province hundreds of manganese deposits and veins of copper, lead, barium and antimony.
