Paiva Walkways, Arouca

The Paiva Walkways (Passadiços do Paiva) are located on the left bank of the Paiva River. Along 8700 m the path provides an "untouched" tour, surrounded by landscapes of unparalleled beauty, which lead us to discover a set of five Arouca Geopark geosites and therefore to know countless geological histories, in the past hidden in this valley. Thus, the Paiva Walkways, which extends between the river beaches of Areinho and Espiunca, brings us to the «Garganta do Paiva» (G36), Aguieiras Waterfall (G35), Vau (G30), «Gola do Salto» (G31) and Espiunca Fault (G32). Visiting this infrastructure, winner of several 'World Travel Awards', implies the purchase of tickets through its website. This infrastructure is integrated in the Geosites Route of the Arouca Geopark, in the Route C «Paiva: the Surprising Valley».
