The Minde "Pincha" is a curious upwelling phenomena that is thought to have appeared due to the layering of sediment deposits on the edges of a lake that is believed to have existed in this area in the Glaciation Period – Quaternary. This Glaciolacustrine deposit consists of the layering of limestone gravel, angular a sub angular and with a low degree of sphericity. This gravel sediment could have been transported by violent floods that lead to this lake, after erosion caused by cryoclastia of the nearby cliffs. The low degree of sphericity of the limestone gravel shows that it was transported a short distance and could have essentially resulted from the water erosion that periodically hit the lake margins.
