From here you can enjoy a magnificent panoramic view over Cova da Beira and further away, to the Castelo Branco Surface. These were the surfaces that, about 10 million years ago, gave origin to Serra da Estrela, which raised between tectonic faults when the current compressive phase between the Iberian Peninsula and North Africa began. In the background, the Serra da Gardunha stands out, with a genesis similar to Serra da Estrela, in a system of grabens and horsts. Further away, on clear days, it is possible to identify several mountain ranges of the Iberian Central System, like Gata, Gredos and Guadarrama.
