Catanhede Municipal Stone Museum, Cantanhede
The Catanhede Municipal Stone Museum is housed within an 18th century building, which was remodelled and adapted for the museum. Adjacent to the Municipal House of Culture, this building features a main building which is characteristic of a manor country house. Another building, of modern design, is perpendicular to the main building, and it extends and amplifies the constructed area. Divided into 3 floors, the first floor has the permanent exhibition halls (Hall of the Historical Evolution of the Municipality and the Hall of Geology and Palaeontology). Additionally on this floor is the Live Museum, which is especially dedicated to the realisation of creative and educational workshops, the reception area, the administrative services, and toilet facilities. On the second floor the Exploitation and Stone Working Halls can be visited, as well as two halls which house temporary exhibitions, one of which is especially dedicated to the theme of religious art designed from "ança" stone. This floor provides the public with an area which avails free internet access. The functionality of the museum includes an auditorium on the 3rd floor, and a large, peaceful outdoor garden which serves as the stage for countless activities.

Cantanhede Municipal Hall of Culture
Located in Largo Cândido dos Reis, the Municipal Hall of Culture is the most important noble house of Cantanhede. Built by Captain-General João Henriques de Castro at the end of the 17th century, it retains the coat of arms of the ancient noblemen on the corner. The building which presents ornaments obtained from stone-works, reflects the cult of this region for stone-works, and is one of the main historical-cultural references of the municipality.

City Hall Building
This building, originally the Marialva House Palace, maintains some of the 15th century elements that date back to the period when it was inhabited by the Cantanhede noblemen, despite the many reforms to which it was subjected. The major construction works were probably undertaken under the direction of Dom João de Meneses. The façade of the building, as well as the lateral tower, are of recent construction. This building has housed the Council sessions since 1805. Today it is the municipal headquarters.

Varziela Chapel - National Monument
It is believed that around 1530, Dom Jorge de Menezes, 4th Nobleman of Cantanhede, father of Dom João de Menezes de Sotto Mayor, sepulchred in the Cantanhede Main Church, ordered the construction of the Chapel Nossa Senhora da Misericórdia in the Várzea Farm for use as his sepulchre. Restored in 1840, it is a modest chapel which contains a rich decoration with engraved doors and arches.

Convent Church of Santo Antonio - Igreja da Misericordia
The Igreja da Misericordia [Church of Mercy], also known as Convent of Santo Antonio, or Nossa Senhora da Conceiçao, is the result of a vow made by Dom Antonio Luis de Menezes, during the Battle of Montes Claros, as already referred to. Its construction was begun under his initiative in 1675. Of this convent, only the church with the respective tower and sacristy remain. Everything else was demolished in 1866.

Main Church of Cantanhede
This structure was likely founded before the time of Count Dom Sisnando, during the 11th century. It gained its present-day size and architectural style after successive remodelling in the middle of the 16th century.
